Summer Retreat Recap 2023

This past summer, the Black Diamond Camp Event Coordinators had the opportunity to serve over 50 different guest groups alongside summer programs. These groups consisted of churches, schools, and many different local businesses and organizations. We love getting to dream big with each leader to make their dreams come to life during the summer!  

Everything from obstacle courses built on-site by church leaders for their students to enjoy or setting up a dance party in the Blacklight Dodgeball room! BIG shout out to Event Coordinators, Allison Brannan, Mickey Slakey, and Kaelin Lara, for helping to make those happen!! We love providing unique experiences for guests. 

As the rainy weather begins to return, you can usually find guests hanging out in the indoor heated pool, or in the gym enjoying the 3D Climbing Wall and Axe-Throwing. One of my favorite things to provide for groups is a scheduled time for them to gather around one of the campfire pits in the evening. Transitioning to fall retreats means cooler weather and cozy nights enjoying complimentary s’mores while also getting to share stories and build community with one another. It doesn’t get much better than that!
