About Us

Who We Are

Here at Black Diamond Camp, there is an adventure waiting for everyone — from casual camper to outdoor adventurer, to extreme sports enthusiast. Everything we do, we do it with life-change in mind.

Safe. Inspiring. Life Changing.

Camps are filled with activities that are loaded with fun and tailored to inspire lives towards a deeper relationship with Christ. Our programs are built to tackle tough issues head-on with humility, straight talk, and uncompromising biblical perspectives.

Our camps are operated by a fun-loving staff that is comprised of devoted, inspired and specially trained believers who are passionate about providing a morally, emotionally, and physically sound environment that is safe, inspiring, and life changing for our campers. It’s in our DNA.

Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission is to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth.

Our Vision is to fully utilize the resources God has given us, inspiring each individual to leave Black Diamond Camp more Christ-like, ready to make a difference in their own life, home and community.

And we do it all in a super fun and inspiring way that’s designed to “Get ’em off the Couch!” and bring the best out in every single camper.

Our Beliefs

The Bible is God’s written revelation to man. It is verbally inspired, authoritative and without error in the original manuscript.

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, born of a virgin. His sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for the redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for all who believe, and his return in power and glory.

God’s Holy Spirit performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a Godly life.

Man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Only through faith in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that alienation be removed and eternal life secured.

The 90/10 Rule. Our Teaching Philosophy.

We take an adventure-based approach to teaching because campers recall 10% of what they hear, but 90% of what they do.

We’re all about Camper Experience. So we teach on the go and integrate spiritual purpose in all we do. Our goal is to show campers how to have fun and connect with God through activity and adventure.

Long talks on complex theology by big-name speakers with lofty titles are not our bag. Instead, passionate staff connect one on one with campers, teach on the go, in the woods or on the trail, and integrate God’s Word into action and adventure experiences for maximum impact.

Warm Beach Camp Ministries

Black Diamond Camp and Rainier Camp & Retreat Center joined Warm Beach Camp in 2020, forming Warm Beach Camp Ministries.

Warm Beach Camp was originally developed in 1956 as a ministry of the Pacific Northwest Free Methodist Church. While remaining an integrated auxiliary of the Free Methodist Church, Warm Beach Camp incorporated as a separate, private 501(c-3) non-profit organization in 1995 and still maintains a corporate mission and values reflective of our heritage.

Our Staff

Enthusiastic. Energetic. Inspiring. And SUPER Fun.

Our staff is made up of a bunch of really fun, friendly people who are also super serious about providing you with the best camp experience ever. Each day they demonstrate their passion for serving Jesus Christ through leading by example and with a cheerful demeanor.

My daughter said this was the best camp she has ever been to. She can’t wait to come back again. Each day when I picked her up she looked tired and happy after her full day. Up until this point, Maddy has had children’s Story Bibles. The camp checklist prompted us to purchase her first real Bible of her very own. She is really proud of her Bible and she will always associate it with the camp.

Day Camp

Again, big THANKS for all your hard work in making our retreat this past weekend a phenomenal time for our students and leaders. We had many students make decisions to make following Jesus a more central part of their lives, and your work is part of that ministry! We’re grateful.

This will stand as a pivotal moment in many students faith going forward. Thanks!
