Summer Leadership Intro: Preston

What’s up! My name is Preston, and I am from Kent, Washington. I began working at Black Diamond Camp in the summer of 2022, have been a part of the Internship Program for the last 2 years, and I was the Service Team Lead last summer. I am so excited to say that I will be returning to be one of the Service Team Leads this summer!

If you aren’t familiar with Service Team, this program is designed for students ages 15-18 to spend 3 weeks during the summer, living and working with your peers, while being discipled by a college aged Summer Staff. Not only do they work in the kitchen washing dishes, but they also have the chance to participate in adventure activities and serve in our other Summer Programs!

One of my favorite memories from Camp was playing board games with some of the Service Team Members and coming up with inside jokes with them. I love our Service Team program! Being able to help teach campers how to work hard, lead, and help them grow in their relationship with Jesus are just some of the things I am looking forward to the most this summer.

I am a giant nerd! I love comics, videogames, boardgames, and Tabletop RPGs. At camp my favorite thing to do is to hangout outside in a hammock or around a fire. My favorite activities to facilitate are Axe Throwing and Giant Swing! I’m looking forward to what God is going to do this summer!
