My Summer Staff Experience: Annaliesa

Hey! My name is Annaliesa and I’m from Lee’s Summit, Missouri (which is just south of Kansas City). I really enjoy spending time outside, whether it’s playing sports or just going for walks. I also love reading and movies.

I heard about Black Diamond Camp from my friend who had a roommate who worked here a few summers ago and loved it! I knew I wanted to give this summer to God to focus on serving Him in any way I could, and I also knew I wanted a change.

Once I heard about the Summer Staff Counselor position, I decided to apply. After the first interview with Andrew Hurst, I had so much peace and happiness, so when they offered me the job, I decided to take it.

I looking forward to teaching the campers all the different activities and getting to show them the love Christ shows me.

This summer I want to grow in my leadership skills and my ability to verbalize the way God is working in my heart and throughout my life. I am so excited to be a part of the team and can’t wait for all the kids to arrive!
