Today I Declare the Lord’s Faithfulness

Today, I declare the Lord’s faithfulness. The world around us, since the moment we left the Garden, has been tumultuous and chaotic. But through it all the Lord is faithful to those who follow him. He was faithful to deliver his people from Egypt, to cross the Sea of Reeds, and to dwell with them in the dessert.  

As the Psalmist says, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:17-18 

Whether it is needing new roofs, summer staff, donations, or a word of encouragement, the Lord hears our cry and draws near if we will humble ourselves before him.  

Today, I share my needs with the Lord, I confess that I trust him to meet my needs, I trust him to draw near in my times of trouble. I know that he will be faithful because of what he has done not only in Scripture, but also in my life.  

Today, I declare the Lord’s faithfulness.
