Support for Kids 2 Camp Benefit Days
The Kids 2 Camp Scholarship Fund was created to never turn a child away because of financial restrictions. By fostering a “Yes!” environment, kids and their families encounter God at camp and have the same opportunities as their peers for fellowship and fun! Warm Beach Camp Ministries is actively bridging that gap through year-round fundraising efforts, one of which is hosting Kids 2 Camp Benefit Days.
It was a joy to see so many familiar and new faces at the Kids 2 Camp Benefit Day at Warm Beach Camp this past July! On the day of the event, we raised $17,000 to send Kids 2 Camp! The highlight of the day was the festive carnival with games and prizes. It was a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to reconnect with the fun of Camp! This year’s Kids 2 Camp Benefit Day theme was Camp Through the Decades! It was heartwarming to watch those in attendance take a stroll down memory lane while perusing the extensive collection of photos on display.
With a commitment to honoring our history while stepping into the future, the first-ever Kids 2 Camp Benefit Day at Black Diamond Camp was last month! The day of the event, we raised $4,943! The program was impactful with a thread of hope woven throughout the day’s festivities. The biggest hit of the day was the “doom pancakes!” A pancake-eating contest with toppings to buy, ranging from gushers to tuna, in which three brave Black Diamond staff members participated. This lighthearted and nostalgic camp moment created great momentum throughout the program, and it was made even more special by watching the children in attendance cheering on the staff they had previously met during Day Camp.
It was a blessing to see everyone come together as a community to create opportunities for the next generation to experience Christ at Black Diamond Camp and Warm Beach Camp! Thank you to everyone who participated and donated, making both Kids 2 Camp Benefit Days unforgettable!
By the compassionate generosity of thoughtful donors, $187,862 has been raised through Kids 2 Camp efforts so far this year! The year-end goal for the Kids 2 Camp Scholarship Fund is $250,000, which will be used to send kids and their families to Camp in the upcoming year.
