Camp Counselors

We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing staff that love Jesus. While being a camp counselor you will have the opportunity to impact campers from the age of 5 to 18. You will guide, teach and be their friend through all the challenges that they face at camp. You will grow in your leadership skills, develop problem solving and teamwork skills along with creating friendships to last a lifetime. It will be an amazing Adventure!

Activities Staff

Are you ready for one of the most exciting summers of your life!?

We are seeking energetic, Christ-centered staff who love adventure and serving others. As a member of the Activities Team, you will help create unforgettable experiences by leading high ropes, challenge courses, team building, and more. You’ll grow in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while making camp a place of safety, fun, and life change. It will be an amazing adventure!

Group Camp Speaker

Do you have a passion for sharing the Gospel with younger generations?

We are looking for a fun, engaging, and high energy speaker to present our curriculum to middle and high school students in a way that they can relate to and take to heart. As our speaker not only will you share God’s word to youth, but you will also have the opportunity to get to know them on a personal level by doing camp activities, joining the groups at meals, or just hanging out with them.

Media Staff

Memories to last a lifetime!

We are seeking experienced, creative individual who is interested in capturing the lifelong memories that are made at Camp. You, as a photographer, will work with the Marketing Team to capture, edit, and distribute exciting, high-resolution images of our summer programs to be shared online and in various marketing projects. You will be immersed in the camp experience and grow in both artistic and technical photography skills. You should be comfortable shooting in Manual and proficient in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Summer Lifeguards

Make a splash and have fun this summer!

We are seeking Christ-centered, responsible staff to join our Activities Team as Lifeguards. In this role, you’ll primarily serve at the pool, using your training and certifications to ensure safety while creating a welcoming and fun environment. You may also support other activities as trained and able, always bringing professionalism, teamwork, and joy to campers and guests.

Worship Leader

March to your own drum? Do you know how to slap the bass? When you sing, do songbirds land on your finger? If the answer is yes to these questions, we have a great position for you.

We are seeking multi-talented vocal, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass) and percussion (full set hard drums) that love Jesus and love to lead others in worship. You, as the worship leader, will prayerfully plan sets appropriate for staff, campers, youth pastors and families from all denominations.

Kitchen Staff

Do you love making food? Do you love to be in the kitchen? Get your apron on and let us start cooking.

We are seeking individuals that love the idea of making great food, eager to take initiative, love Jesus and able to be a team player. You, as kitchen staff, will work as a team which will all have multiple roles within the kitchen. You will learn leadership skills, food knowledge and problem-solving skills while making delicious meals for all that come to camp.

Maintenance Staff

Are you ready to make a lasting impact behind the scenes!?

We are seeking hard-working, Christ-centered staff to join our Maintenance Team. You’ll help care for 160 acres of lawns, forest trails, play fields, and over 50 buildings—keeping camp safe, beautiful, and ready for every guest. From daily upkeep to special projects, your work ensures that the ministry of camp can thrive. You’ll grow in teamwork, problem-solving, and practical skills while serving with excellence.

Accommodations Staff

Hospitality is at the heart of every great camp experience.

We are seeking servant-hearted, Christ-centered staff to join our Accommodations Team. In this role, you’ll provide outstanding hospitality by preparing facilities, cleaning rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, and assisting with food service through meal prep, delivery, and presentation. Your work ensures that every guest feels cared for and comfortable during their stay. You’ll grow in teamwork, service, and leadership while making camp a place of rest and renewal.

Guest Services Staff

Are you ready for a summer of service and adventure?

As Guest Services staff, you’ll help create unforgettable experiences by preparing facilities, assisting with meals, and keeping camp welcoming for every guest. You’ll also have opportunities to lead adventure activities like high ropes, team building, or lifeguarding (not required, but encouraged!). It’s a role full of variety, teamwork, and impact—helping guests feel cared for while you grow in leadership and service.

Leadership Staff

Program Team Lead

Do you feel called to lead, go above and beyond to make things happen? Then we have the job for you.

We are seeking enthusiastic, relatable, and friendly people who love Jesus and that have been a part of the Black Diamond Summer team for a summer. This position is heavily involved with both our Day Camp and Group Camp programs and Director/Managers. You will help plan, organize, facilitate and assist staff that are involved with our summer programs. You will grow in leadership and communication skills, develop problem solving and teamwork skills along with creating friendships to last a lifetime.

Service Team Leader

Join us as we serve humbly and wholly towards others, while investing in the next generation.

We are seeking outgoing, adventurous, Jesus' loving, individuals that want to help change the middle school and high school range campers. You will be immersed with the campers 24/7 and have opportunities to truly show what a servant's heart is. You will develop leadership and problem-solving skills along with becoming a great mentor to these campers. This will be one summer that you will not forget.

Coffee Shop/Retail Lead

Do you love crafting the perfect latte and creating a welcoming space for guests? Join us in making every visit to The Coffee Shop and camp store a memorable experience!

We’re looking for a hospitable, initiative-taking team player who loves Jesus. As the Coffee Shop & Retail Lead, you’ll serve guests, sell retail items, make coffee drinks, and oversee daily operations—all while growing in leadership and customer service skills.

Summer Staff FAQ

Everything You Need to Know

I submitted an application online. Now what?

First off, thank you for your interest! We will review your application and follow up with you within a few days. If you have any questions you can contact Youth Programs Manager, Tyler Petras, by selecting Summer Programs on the Contact Us form!

I’m flying in. How will I get to camp from the airport on arrival day?

Where will I live?

Summer Staff are required to live on-campus. Housing is provided in the various lodges on campus. Rooms will accommodate several staff members in bunk beds. Staff restrooms are located detached from summer house rooms. We have limited storage space but there will be opportunities if needed to purchase storage options after arrival.

Camp does not provide towels, washcloths, sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads, blankets, pillows, and mattress pads for summer staff unless previously discussed with Black Diamond Management. Staff are responsible for bringing their own bedding and towels- you will want warm bedding such as blankets, sleeping bags, etc.*

*Linens will be provided for all international staff.

What should I pack?

Do you allow staff to have their phones?

Is there a dress code?

We ask that all staff dress appropriately according to their work position. This may include shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, modest swimwear (one-piece or tankini style swimsuits for girls, swim shorts for guys), and closed-toe shoes. Please no overly revealing clothing such as short shorts or tube tops. Guys must wear shirts at all times, unless in the pool. You may also be in a harness throughout the day so having shorts that are long enough to prevent chafing is key.

We require staff to be in secure closed-toe shoes to facilitate our activities and work in the kitchen, but feel free to wear sandals and other footwear at other times. You will be walking for the majority of the day so comfortable durable footwear is essential.

I won’t have a car, is there transportation options to go offsite?

Yes! We will have at least one scheduled store run a week for anyone that doesn’t have their own transportation. If staff need to go to the store before that planned trip, they can coordinate with summer leadership to find a time to take them as well.

Additionally, a lot of Summer Staff bring their own cars and often open invitations to their off-camp adventures. We also have camp vehicles that Summer Staff can request to use if they opt in to being on our insurance during the onboarding process.
