The Remarkable Story Continues
I write this as hundreds of people are taking in Black Diamond Camp’s Adventure Day. Young families are everywhere, the Kettle Corn is popping, the campfire if full of people making s’mores. Climbing wall, axe throwing, slides, swimming, and a range of other activities are all being used to engage people with the love of Christ we have for each person.
This is one afternoon in a remarkable story.
In 2020 Black Diamond Camp and Warm Beach Camp joined forces, becoming one ministry.
In 2023, in faith, we committed to connecting 1 million people with Christ by partnering with leaders and engaging the communities we serve by providing transformational experiences by 2030.
In 2025 this effort seeks to reach 118,000 people.
Here are some of the things this year’s efforts includes:
Partnering with 450 leaders who are bringing groups of people to have opportunities to meet Christ through a wide variety of events, camps, retreats, and conferences.
Providing Day Camps to engage the communities we serve with opportunities for kids and those with developmental disabilities to meet Christ while meeting the summer childcare and respite care needs of families.
Giving leaders of ministry time of retreat for renewal with the creative beauty and adventure camp has to offer in God’s creation.
Inviting Middle School and High School youth groups into overnight youth camps designed to inspire Christ-like change through outdoor adventure, authentic relationships, and Biblical truth.
The Lights of Christmas and Horsemanship continue to reach out to the communities close to Warm Beach with the hope of Christ we have in our hearts.
We live in a time where living out a clear and compelling faith in Christ through camp is not only needed, it is being welcomed. What a joy to be part of this remarkable story as it continues under God’s leadership.
