The New Glacier Peak Bunk Wing
We’re excited to roll out a lodging upgrade that makes retreat planning easier and enhances the overall guest experience here at Black Diamond Camp!
Beginning this summer, our bunked bedrooms in Glacier Peak will remain set up permanently! This may seem like a small shift, but it brings big benefits: no more bed days throughout the summer for our staff (if you’ve experienced a Bed Day here at Camp, you know it is a labor of love!), faster room turnovers, and an enhanced lodging experience for guests—especially youth groups and larger retreats!
Glacier Peak Bunk Rooms provide an upgraded option compared to our Olympic Range Cabins and Copper Mountain lodging, while still maintaining the classic camp vibe of staying in bunk beds and bringing your own sleeping bags. Each room features a private restroom, giving guests more privacy and reducing the number of people sharing facilities—an upgrade many groups appreciate!
For those booking Glacier Peak rooms 123–138, each room will come with four sets of twin-size bunk beds (128 beds total!). Additionally, Glacier Peak Lodge includes three standard rooms that each have one queen bed and one set of twin-size bunk beds with linens included—perfect for group leaders who want more of a hotel style experience without being far from their group. These rooms are located in the same hallway as the bunk rooms, with the Mt. Hermon meeting space also situated on the main level of the lodge that offers a convenient and connected group experience.
This change supports one of our core values: Needs-Based Programming! In response to guest feedback, our desire is that this space will better meet the needs of a wide range of groups. A great in-between option ideal for groups who don’t meet the 70-person minimum for Copper Mountain but are looking for an upgraded experience beyond our traditional cabins. Our heart behind this change is to create a more comfortable and guest-focused experience. Groups can now book Glacier Peak Bunk Rooms year-round!
I can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself!
