Giving God praise for the Kingdom work!

Being in unfamiliar territory can be flat-out frightening. Often times, out of self-preservation, walls are built to keep one safe. In those moments, having a support system surrounding you can make all the difference!

A Tacoma-based conference with 80 youth recently attended Black Diamond Camp. For many of these kids it was the first time they ever ventured out of city limits. Arriving at camp, there was reluctance to be in a space so far out of their comfort zones. While it took time to adjust, the hospitality and love of Christ that was so readily demonstrated by the entire Black Diamond Camp Staff created an environment where the youth felt safe to surrender to the moment and be present.

During small group time out in the woods, God moved mightily through their discussions. The group leader mentioned that the youth went from “having a terrible time being outdoors” to “not wanting to leave.” In the short time that these kids were at Black Diamond Camp, Jesus met them right where they were and welcomed them to step out in faith.

For the Black Diamond Staff, it was the first group they could remember hosting that 15 kids came to Christ and wanted to be baptized! Join us in giving God praise for the Kingdom work He is accomplishing through Black Diamond Camp!
