Facilities should not be the ADVENTURE at Camp

Every so often, a group walks through our doors and reminds us what camp is really about. Every November, Copper Mountain Lodge is invaded by a local youth group. They’ve been coming to camp for years—not because everything is shiny and new, but because something meaningful happens here when students step away from the usual noise and make space for faith, friendships, and fun. If you’ve ever watched a youth group arrive at camp, you know the sound: doors thumping, ...

Challenge and Growth

For the past three summers, I have had the incredible honor of serving as summer staff at Black Diamond Camp. This year, I am beyond excited to continue that journey as an intern! Over the years, I witnessed firsthand the incredible joy of how God moves through Camp. Not just in the quiet moments at Bible studies and evening experiences, but in the laughter and chaos of camp activities. There is something deeply beautiful about watching the campers flourish not ...

He is Our Oasis

Let me start off by saying...God is so good! Over the past year, we at Black Diamond Camp have experienced a lot of change, and through that change, we’ve truly grown as a camp and as a community. Many people have stepped into new roles, sometimes ones they didn’t feel quite ready for, but God showed up in every moment. He has been so faithful to guide, strengthen, and equip us in ways we couldn’t have imagined! This summer, our ...

Our First Kids 2 Camp Benefit Day

Our very first Kids 2 Camp Benefit Day at Black Diamond was such a huge success! The whole day was filled with laughter, community, and of course, lots of pancakes. Families came together for breakfast, joined in on fun activities, and cheered through the hilarious pancake-eating contest that quickly became a crowd favorite. It was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate what we love most about camp—people coming together to make a difference. By the end of the ...

The New Glacier Peak Bunk Wing

We’re excited to roll out a lodging upgrade that makes retreat planning easier and enhances the overall guest experience here at Black Diamond Camp! Beginning this summer, our bunked bedrooms in Glacier Peak will remain set up permanently! This may seem like a small shift, but it brings big benefits: no more bed days throughout the summer for our staff (if you've experienced a Bed Day here at Camp, you know it is a labor of love!), faster room turnovers, ...

Support for Kids 2 Camp Benefit Days

The Kids 2 Camp Scholarship Fund was created to never turn a child away because of financial restrictions. By fostering a “Yes!” environment, kids and their families encounter God at camp and have the same opportunities as their peers for fellowship and fun! Warm Beach Camp Ministries is actively bridging that gap through year-round fundraising efforts, one of which is hosting Kids 2 Camp Benefit Days. It was a joy to see so many familiar and new faces at the ...

Copper Mountain Project Update

Copper Mountain is our dorm-style lodge here at Black Diamond Camp. For nearly five decades, it has served as a place of ministry, gathering, pranks, Bible studies, and worship. The ministry that happens within Copper Mountain is truly beautiful—though not without its challenges.Phase 1: We kicked off Phase 1 of the Copper Mountain Project by replacing the leaking roof over the meeting space, ensuring the building is safe and dry for future improvements. The second portion of Phase 1 will ...

Winter and Spring Day Camps

This past February 17-21, Black Diamond Camp had the joy of hosting our annual Winter Day Camp! This year’s theme was Monsters, Inc. – Know Jesus, No Fear! Throughout the week, we explored how God calls us to be courageous and keep our focus on Him when we feel afraid. We shared that Jesus doesn’t want us to live in fear, but instead, He invites us into a relationship with Him—one that empowers us to be bold and brave in ...

Looking Back on Summer 2024

Summer 2024 was a huge success! So many lives were changed, and many encountered Jesus in a new way. This past summer's theme was Eclipse, where we explored the books of the Prophets from Isaiah through Malachi. As we delved into these Scriptures, we saw a recurring theme of God's constant grace and forgiveness towards His people, despite their repeated sins and turning away from Him—creating an “Eclipse” in their relationship with Him.  With all summer programs centered around this ...
